This video, the primer of section three of your trail, introduces the concept of Monte Carlo Simulations. It establishes an intuitive understanding of the idea and demonstrates, using two different examples, how it can be implemented in MS Excel. This includes an introduction to the random generation of uniformly distributed decimal values and integers, but also binomially distributed data. After watching the video, you should be able to perform simple Monte Carlo Simulations, similar to the examples shown in the video, but related to the three real-world-tasks of this trail section.
